“Had extensive work done on my audi q5. Shop gave me a loaner car for the whole week at no charge. Had one small issue at pickup that they shop made right immediately and had me on the road same day. My car drives like a dream now. My husband and I will continue to use George's in the future and recommend to anyone. Car repair can be expensive, but they do quality work and i would always rather support them than the dealer whenever possible.”

“Been driving a 2007 Saab 9-3 Aero for 12+ years (it's still running absolutely fantastic with 115,000+ miles), living in four different cities around North America, and thus having it maintained by many different shops over the years (including both dealers and independent shops) . . . I was shocked when we first moved to Kansas City and started using George's by how affordable their services are and how knowledgeable they are - efficient and creative with high-quality, cost-conscious solutions. Saabs are quirky, and some parts aren't easy to come by or cheap these days, but I promise that you can do no better or more affordable with any shop other than George's (and you can check your George's invoice against any on-line source for parts and see no markup). They are straight-forward, transparent, and honest, and are glad to tell you what not to spend money on as much as they are to give you an honest assessment of what should be done. As Brad and team have now ventured beyond Saab, I would have no qualms bringing any vehicle to them.”

“Always a great experience to work with George's. My family has been taking our cars here since the 60's (when they were off of state line and followed the in their move to Martin City). The mechanics are always up front and honest about what's wrong and the cost. It is NOT one of those places where they hit you coming and going. They are a great company. I don't take my vehicles anywhere else. I drive down from Omaha just to have them work on them they are worth the drive. Would highly recommend them to anyone and frequently do.”

“Few things to know: plan in advance. If you can't, be prepared to get a rental. They're busy, and they're always packed with cars. A friend who used to work for another import shop told me that Saab parts come from the Saab lady in Wichita so if they don't already have your part it's not like having a Honda and getting parts from napa half an hour later. Saab service and repair is expensive. In my experience, it's also infrequent. When I know I need service, I call a week in advance and make an appointment. Holland's estimates have always been accurate. Sometimes they don't call me back with one on my time line but if I call them, they answer my questions and it's fair, timely, and I've never had an issue. I've owned my '04 since '13, and put over 30k miles on it. Other than when I first had it in California, all the work I've had done has been here and it's well worth the hour drive.

Update: Winchester has now had to go in for repairs, not just maintenance. Still great service and I was surprised that with the 'surprises' they got him in and out in a day an a half. They even provided a loaner car. Usually I just get a rental though, saves me a lot of trouble.”

“I have 7 cars and at some time or another they have all been to George's. They are generous with their advice and there never is a 'surprise' with the final bill. They are a rare find and I am so pleased they finally moved out to Martin City. Nice to find folks passionate about their work!”

“These people are the top. Appointment was easy to make. They took my car at the appointment time even though the garage appeared full to overflowing. They knew how long it would take. They are all friendly and customer service oriented. The waiting room is clean and comfortable. I connected to their wifi with my laptop and got a ton of work done. Prices were very fair. From listening to them speak with customers and each other I would say they are extremely honest and trustworthy. I would recommend them to anyone with a European or any car really.”

“We had our 2000 Volvo S40 towed here for repair. But since we didn't know what was wrong with it, we weren't sure if we were going to pay for the repair or just trade in the car and get something else (if the repairs were going to be too expensive). Brad seemed very honest about the repairs that needed done and seemed to give due diligence to finding out what the problem was. Once we learned the problem was going to be a hassle (shipping engine to Canada) and expensive to repair, we decided to skip the repairs and just get something newer with a warranty. Brad was very kind to allow us to leave the Volvo on his lot for about a week or so, until we found a new car and could trade in the Volvo and get it towed off his property.

The only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars is because he didn't actually do any repairs, so I can't speak to the quality of the work.”

“My car was not shifting properly. Dealer said it needed a new transmission. Brad checked it out and found a small piece of plastic was somehow stuck in the gearbox. 73$ later I was driving home. Oh yea the dealer wanted 7,500$ .”

“When you own an auto that can occasionally incur costly repairs, you're immensely grateful for mechanics like Brad and the folks at George's. They're straight shooting pros who make sure you know your options, are careful with your money and highly efficient. If they (rarely) make a mistake, they cheerfully make it right. And they clearly love Saabs! Check them out for your Saab or any other make of auto. They are the best.”

“One word: Awesome.

My Saab broke down on I435, as we were headed from Iowa to Texas. I called them (it was two days after Christmas) and they were open! We got a tow truck and were there in 40 minutes.

They checked our car in and had an estimate back in 10 minutes. They had the belt and pulley in stock and had us out in less than 90 minutes, thus taking what could have been an overnight stay and turning it into a 2.5 hour delay to our road trip.

The facilities are very new, they have a kids area with toys for toddlers and older kids, couches, an office area with tables and chairs. Free wifi and coffee and snacks too. Everything was clean.

If I lived in the KC area, I would definitely return for anything/everything. They are reasonably priced and are clearly the Saab experts.”

“Hands down, the absolute BEST garage in Kansas City! After having my head gasket destroyed by the guys at the Volvo dealership garage (before they moved to Metcalf), the men at George's Imports brought my S40 back to life. Not only that, but they also don't try to sell you stuff that you don't need. They are down to Earth, good people. This is the ONLY garage I trust with my car when I need a major repair.”
